Abstract

In the two-dimensional space, we consider the magnetic relation of Rayleigh, which appears in the mathematical theory of surface superconductivity when studying the first eigenvalue of the Landau operator. In a simple way, it is proved that the exact lower bound in the first-order Sobolev space, H1 of the Rayleigh magnetic ratio is equal to one
